About the event
Established in 2013, The Long Mynd Batch Burner takes place on the first or second Saturday in June each year. Organised and run by volunteers the Batch Burner promises to be the most fun and friendly Mountain Bike Challenge event that you can enter.

To celebrate 10 years of the Batch Burner, we have an exciting new route, which also revisits some of the highlights from the past decade. At just over 40km with 1200m of climb, it provides the usual Batch Burner challenge and takes in the magnificent scenery of the Long Mynd, The Stiperstones and lots in between.  A mixture of singletrack, bridleway and some tarmac to link it all up, 2023 will be an epic event. As usual, the children of Norbury and Stiperstones Schools will be on the hill to cheer you on, entertain you and reward you with spot prizes along the way, so dig our the funny outfits and practise those wheelies!

A mass start challenge event with no prizes for first place. The emphasis is all about riding the best bits of the Shropshire Hills natural trails at your own place with plenty of strenuous climbs and technically demanding descents.
