Busy Bees Nursery is open Monday to Friday from 9am till 3.15pm, with a breakfast club for those who need it, which is open from 7:45. We welcome all children aged 2 to 4 years. Busy Bees is a fully funded, integrated part of the school and we have many opportunities to be with older children and other teachers in preparation for school. We spend each lunchtime with the whole school where hot dinners can be provided.
Here at our small and friendly nursery we aim to provide a happy, stimulating environment for children to learn through play. All children will experience a wealth of activities and opportunities through which they will grow socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally. During their time with us, children will become independent; learn to share and negotiate; play co-operatively with others; observe and make predictions; learn to control tools; make decisions and solve problems; and begin to develop early numeracy and literacy skills.
Curriculum: We follow the Early years Foundation Stage Curriculum and it is our aim to achieve the five every child matters outcomes of staying safe; being healthy; enjoying and achieving; making a positive contribution; and achieving economic well-being. These principles that guide EYFS providers are grouped into four main themes: A unique child; positive relationships; enabling environments; and learning and development. We support children to ensure they reach these learning outcomes by the time they reach school age.
